All right, you gen-Xers. This was the theme song for the summer of 1994 for angsty college kids who liked punk rock but were in the process of expanding their music horizons. Sound too narrow a demographic? I don't think so. Everyone I associated with who thought Fugazi was Jesus of Punk also had a weird boner for Shudder to Think. Friends who claimed StT was the worst band ever of all time and history and eternity had every one of their CDs under their bed with their porn and buttplugs.
Pony Express Record was possibly the most ambitious record of the 90s. Musically, thematically, lyrically, performance-wise. Just great, great stuff. Great band.

woo good pull. I rember all the hype on 120 minutes about these guys, and it was well deserved. Another gem from the 90's. I think I am going to hang up my De La Soul marathon and get into this, Drive like Jehu, and Ween to round out the day

I want one. I have a '78 Ripper with T-Bird pickups and hardware, and it sounds like a horny, angry rhinoceros, but it's still not a Thunderbird. I'd want tobaccoburst.

It's been nothing but Jawbox, Dismemberment Plan, and Rocket From the Crypt for the past week.
